5 years from now RSS will be part of everything you do on the internet.

In the future as an example when you buy a book from a particular author on Amazon, you will be able to subscribe to an RSS feed about the author and be notified about things about the author like new releases or an upcoming book tour or event they are involved with.

Your photo collection will have an RSS feed to allow your friends and family to be notified when you upload new stuff.

RSS in business is also the undiscovered killer application of this century. Information workers will be subscribed to the data that interests them. Today they fumble through databases and spreadsheets full of information that means very little to them, looking for the content that is.
