Right about now Robert is one of the most influential people in technology.
So is he a big head honco at Microsoft?…No and that is what makes blogging in big companies so interesting.
Robert is just a rank and file employee at Microsoft. I think he works on the Tablet Pc Team.
What Robert is famous for is Blogging behind an entrenched corporate culture. He is responsible for opening all the doors at Microsoft and letting the people behind the technology talk and interact with general public.
Why is that important. Well how would you rather learn about new technology, from a pristine marketing department approved missive, or from the people who make the technology.
I go with the guy that built the thing.
This is a great example of how technology can be used to break down some of these traditional barriers.
