How to replace the Screen Bezel on a Dell Latitude X300 Tuesday, July 4th, 2006
I cracked mine, Dell wanted £250 to fix it.
I found a new part on e-bay for £9.99 and deduced looking at it that the existing bezel would just pry off after being unscrewed.
So …
Remove the Plastic gray things and Top Left, Right Bottom Left and Bottom Right.
Lay the screen flat down (remove the battery its easier)
Remove the screws in all four holes
Gently with a small flat head screw driver separate the bezel from the lcd, there is a small gluey substance that will easily give, once its un screwed.
Replace with the new one.
Click Snap into place, making sure all the edges are flush.
Screw in the four sockets
Replace the 4 gray plastic things
And your done.
The Part number for the bezel is DP/N :- G0834
