One way to look at it:

You get a safer device
You get a new battery (worth about £40)

But the Dell Technical Support Lines have melted under the volume of calls and Telehone support calls are taking up to 30 mins to get answered.

I get to change my phone once a year, this year I want to go back to a smaller device.

I have had and used a P800, P900 so the P990i is just the latest in the family of great phones.
