Symantec Gets Karma Tuesday, January 16th, 2007
They are blaming weak sales. I blame weak products.
“Symantec said overall revenues for the third quarter will miss forecasts, and come in as low as $1.29bn - revenues had been expected to come in as high as $1.35bn”
Not all Symantec Products are bad.
Symantec Corporate Anti-Viruses works well enough, Norton Ghost and Partition Magic are also good products.
But their main consumer products of Norton Anti-Virus and Norton Internet Security are just plain terrible.
They seem to be trying to dig themselves out of this hole with:-
Norton 360 http://www.symantec.com/norton360beta/
Too late for me I am afraid.
For Single PC’s or really small networks I use Esets Nod32. I switched to this in July 2006 and its not let me down yet.
