Dell sells computers into two main categories Home or Business. It would appear that Windows XP is no longer an option you can select for home users.

Business users currently have a choice of either Windows Vista or Windows XP.

The problem for home users may be driver support for all the gadgets a typical home user has. Example: Digital Camera, Scanner, Printer, Memory Card Readers, Video Cam Corders, Mobile Phones, Mp3 Players the list could go on.

So while Windows Vista is the way forward, buyer beware it might not all be plain sailing.

I would urge any home user to run the Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor of an existing XP machine, this will tell you what may not work.
