Getting Noticed on the Web Friday, February 16th, 2007
Sometimes it’s a hard slog being a blogger. But looking at the web site logs I can see thousands of real people checking out the content and commentary.
I would never think of myself as average, but I am tucked away in sleepy Middlewich, Cheshire. However so far in the first 15 days of this month I have managed to attract visitors/readers/viewers to this site from:-
Intel (2 Unique Visitors)
Microsoft (3 Unique Visitors)
DELL (4 Unique Visitors)
Nokia (1 Unique Visit)
IBM (1 Unique Visit)
HP (2 Unique Visitors)
This is encouraging in two ways:-
1) Search is working for me. On average the volume of unique visitors to this site increases 15% per month.
2) Dell and Microsoft - Read or collate blogged content about them. Hell they might even read it!
In a weird way my search strategy is failing. I want to attract the attention of companies in Cheshire, looking for a really switched on I.T Consultant (01606-841587 Ask for Colin).
So in earnest I shall file this post under Blogging Advocacy. Because I am getting noticed, this is a good thing. Now I need to concentrate and focus (naturally I have a plan…)
