Windows Mobile 6 was developed in a world when Apple had not yet demonstrated the iPhone.

As Cnet point out. “there were no notable enhancements to the multimedia capabilities. “ Oh Dear.

I get the impression that Windows Mobile 6 is basically Windows Mobile 5.1 or Windows Mobile SE, more of the same but better, but not a huge leap forward.
