Dell Phishing E-mail Can you Spot the Difference? Friday, March 23rd, 2007

Check out the link below, it’s a post about how difficult it has become to tell a genuine e-mail from a phishing or fake one.

They are almost identical. The post asks an important question. Would you have clicked?

I have tagged this post as Dell, as I think they should know about it too. I would like them to blog about this issue on http://www.direct2dell.com or the support forums so if a user google’s this issue they have a chance of getting good advice.

The advice being: Dont click links in e-mails if your not 1000% sure about it, and if you have doubts seek advice.

To be fair the issue of the “Bad People” spoofing identity is not particular to Dell, however this attack is pretty sophisticated so lets get it out in the open.
