PDF: A Google Guide for Making The Most Of Your Website Content Friday, June 6th, 2008

Google have updated their easy to read guide “Making the Most of your Content”.

It comprises a 13 page PDF that explains in easy to understand language some of the more complicated aspects of what Google does with your content in their search engine.

Ideal for anyone who has an interest in these things.

The last page is a Glossary explaining all the terms like Crawling and Page Rank.

Wall Street Journal Writes up Bill and Steve’s Relationship Friday, June 6th, 2008

 

The Wall Street Journal do a decent piece on their frankly bizarre relationship.

The Microsoft story is pretty amazing. One of the most interesting business books I ever read was Hard Drive: Bill Gates and the Making of the Microsoft Empire by James Wallace and Jim Erickson.

All the really juicy stuff happened long ago (1980). But one or two swift moves saw them take over the world. You would be amazed at how much luck played a big part in all of this.
