Jamie (from Dell) contacted me and we discussed at length my posts and my experiences in dealing with Dell Technical Support.

After 3 long telephone calls over 3 days we finally reached an amicable resolution.

I have updated each of the posts above with the outcomes.

I would like to thank Dell for taking the time to investigate each issue.

This is the HP Touch Smart2. It looks great especially if you revisit their first Touch Smart offering (Below) from the Windows Vista Launch period.

HP have also refreshed their various laptop models.

This is the 6930.

I am a big fan of metal encased laptops. They feel and look so much better than plastic.

This is the 6730

All in all these products look great

Sounds like a simple question…

With the original iPhone you could purchase from either Apple (online or at a retail store) or from O2 or Carphone Warehouse.

The problem with that business model was people bought at retail, took it home, jailbreak it so it works with other networks.

With the UK  iPhone 3G it appears they want you to buy at retail.

The US store offers both Apple Retail or AT&T.

I hope I am wrong but that’s what it looks like if you take a look at the Apple Store’s Where to buy page.
