I was way too eager to upgrade my own Wordpress install I forgot that Wordpress 2.5.1 needs PHP 4.0 or above.

So mid way through the upgrade I find myself stuck in a catch 22.

I either need to downgrade the Wordpress or get the Website PHP up to 4.0

Anyway a quick phone call to my web host 1stEasy and they quickly transferred the site onto another one of their servers running PHP 4.0

Once the DNS resolved itself it all fell back into place.

It was totally my fault for not checking the requirements (you wouldn’t think I do this for living would you).
